Hey there! Trying to name a zanpaku-to, and I was hoping you could help me avoid butchering the Japanese language. The release phrase would be "dance." I'll probably use English for that, but you can translate it if you'd like. The name of the sword itself would be Grand Black Marlin (Black Marlin being the species of billfish).
Snapshots: Born (2000), Spiritual Power Discovered (2008), Entered Shin'o Academy (2015), Discovered Shikai Release (2016)
[ ON THE SURFACE ]
Physical Description: Akira wears his white hair in a tight ponytail, which reaches the top of his shoulder blades. A few strands of hair (usually his bangs) often spring free from confinement, laying across his face, forcing him to blow the stray hairs off of his face every once in a while. His grey eyes are usually sparkling with a smile, even when one can't be found anywhere else on his face; but, if those eyes aren't smiling, their stormy wrath are truly a sight to behold. Akira's body is slender; svelte might be a good word. His slight, wiry build is lightly muscled, but well toned. His skin is pale, unusually so, but not sickly. He speaks with a midwestern American accent, and occasionally uses informal slang (though keeps his language formal with strangers and superiors). He stumbles over alliteration. If you stand close enough to him, you can smell salt and sand, as if you were standing on the shore of a beach, all alone. He wears the standard uniform of Shin'o students.
Spiritual Description: Akira's reiatsu rolls off of him like ocean waves. It shifts with his emotions, from a steady current on a calm day to torrential swells in his anger. Visibly, it rises off of him like a dense steam, bright patches of flames appearing and disappearing like St. Elmo's Fire. To one who stands above him, his reiatsu feels like a mere puddle; but to one weaker than him, his power feels like a vast ocean, deep and unconquerable.
[ BEHIND THE EYES ]
Personality: Akira is a very positive, upbeat individual who'll try to make the best of any situation, to the point of being somewhat annoying. He applies this optimism zealously to his own life, which is about as organized as a train wreck in a hurricane. He is very friendly, though he doesn't make close friends easily, he has many who he would call "amiable acquaintances." Generally, he is kind to most people, though he can quickly become disillusioned with those he doesn't know well. But, to those he can call "friend," he is extremely loyal, willing to sacrifice just about anything for them. This sickeningly goody-goody behavior can often, however, be overshadowed by his flaws. He is often quick to anger, and can be short even with close friends. He tends to act on a whim, and is often berated for doing so by his zanpaku-to. He's also not very observant, to the point of being absolutely obtuse at times. His moods are easily influenced, and turbulent like the ocean from which his power stems. He often regrets outbursts of anger.
Goals & Achievements: Mostly, Akira wants to achieve two things: first and foremost, he wants to graduate Shin'o Academy, and become a fully-fledged Soul Reaper. Secondly, he wants to learn how to lead, and hopefully become a lieutenant. Secretly, he hopes he's in a division other than Fourth, but because of his power, he's more or less guaranteed to go there; he wants to make peace with this fact.
[ GUARDIAN ANGEL ]
Zanpakutō Spirit: Shirokajiki (Black Marlin) looks like a middle-aged man, weather-beaten and tanned. He wears a shirt of what appears to be burlap, loose, brown woolen pants, and no shoes. His black hair is graying at the temples. He carries a fishing spear. His eyes are constantly cast in shadow by a ubiquitous khaki bucket hat with a fishhook attached to it. He's level-headed and observant, though can be somewhat pessimistic and self-righteous at times. After all, mentors are just as flawed as their students.
Inner World: Akira's inner world takes the form of a very large, raft-like vessel on an endless ocean, populated with a few gargantuan creatures and many smaller fish.
Power: Able to spawn several skeletal, remora-like fish, which can drain and store reiatsu and impart that stored reiatsu into another person to heal minor wounds. Used for both healing and attacking.
Zanpakutō: Takes the shape of a flamberge when sealed. When unsealed, it drastically decreases in size to a one-handed blade and takes on a strong resemblance to the rostrum of a swordfish. The texture of the blade in this shape looks and feels similar to bone, though it's stronger than steel. The blade also gains a guard, shaped like the upper skull of a swordfish. Three black ribbons dangle from the hilt.
[ LEGACY CREATED ]
Origin: Each of these three sections should be at least a full paragraph (5-7 complete sentences). In your origin, you should talk about where your character was born, describe their death (if applicable) and talk about their time in the Rukongai. This should stop right at the part where they develop enough power to be accepted into the Academy.
Rise to Power: Rise to Power should include the Academy and any time you have spent grinding through the rank and file Shinigami events. This would include you unlocking Shikai and most of your notable events in your history. This is where you explain how your character has gotten so strong.
Call to Action: This is where you talk about the event(s) that made your character shift from an NPC to a player character. For whatever reason, they need to be pulled away from the daily grind and put into the spotlight. In this section, you’ll want to highlight that event(s) and justify why your character is they way they are today.

Welcome to Bleach Gotei, an alternate universe Bleach RP!
Seireitei is crumbling and the Gotei is a shell of its former self. Ravaged by the plague, the surviving Shinigami struggle to maintain the balance, but with so few of them left, the work is taxing and their fortress-city has fallen to neglect. Spread thin across all fronts, their diminished presence has been noted by friend and foe alike.
The Arrancar have rebuilt Las Noches and are rallying. The throne remains empty, but self-styled Espada have risen up from among them and are vying for control, each one endlessly testing the others’ weaknesses. Too evenly matched for any one of them to claim the crown, they bide their time, waiting for the opportune moment.
On Earth, all seems well—but there is a war being fought in the shadows as the mortals find themselves lacking the protection they once had and so sorely need. The Quincy, having realized the oppressive specter of the Shinigami is no more, are flourishing, and are fighting the Hollow-breeds with renewed vigor.
