[ ON THE SURFACE ]
Physical Description: Asadi's frame is tall, his shoulders broad. Long, muscular limbs with little to no fat show Asadi's love for hand to hand combat, Zanjutsu, and Hohō. He carries himself with a straight back, an almost authoritative walk despite it being the opposite. There's always a smirk on his face as if there is some happy thought carrying him on. Long shaggy black hair adorns his head, tracing his face, caring not to deal with moving it aside even in a fight. Emerald green eyes seem to dominate the features of his face. If happy or excited, they seem to glow, when agitated or angered they tend to turn a moss green, like an oncoming heavy storm. Asadi's skin was blessed with an olive tone - on the left side of his chest, trailing down to his left forearm is a large tattoo of a dragon, inked in black.
Tending to want to wear human street attire, Asadi is usually seen in black, long sleeve hoodie unzipped, exposing his bare torso. While wearing this, the shinigami tends to push up the sleeves. Black jeans, held up by a worn leather belt, fading with age. While in the Seireitei, a typical black shihakushō without sleeves is worn.
A light baritone voice escapes his lips - despite this, it tends to have an authoritative snap even when he's joking around.
Spiritual Description: Tapping into his power, black and gray strands slowly swirly about his body. As his reiatsu spreads the air begins to stir, sending a slight chill as if a storm was stirring in the distance. While this is particularly alarming, once his intent is set on fighting, he releases more reiatsu, causing the wind to surge and the air to become heavy.
[ BEHIND THE EYES ]
Personality: In general, Asadi is a happy individual - always seemingly has a smile on his face. This man is a lively go-getter, whose's always trying to crack a joke to get a smile. With that though, his quirky personality can get him in trouble when he makes his quick quips and puns at the wrong time. The groans of disdain seem to be worth it to him.
This doesn't mean that he can't be serious when the time necessitates it. When the time comes, Asadi is always there and ready for action. His squad mates can rest easy knowing that he'll always be there in their time of need. Becoming an almost brother-like figure within the group. That in mind, the shinigami isn't afraid of taking charge or falling back, whatever is really needed at the time - nor giving up when the situation looks bleak or dire. But, that impulsive behavior has led to him getting in trouble more times than he chose to count over the years.
Goals & Achievements:
The fact that his 'parents' managed to get him to focus on training to become a shinigami was an accomplishment in itself. The youth managed to gain some attention and was able to attend the academy, not only graduating but in due time was placed within the 2nd division. While there, he was able to connect with the spirit of his Zanpakuto and gain access to its inner world. Now as the years wane on, Asadi has been keeping his eye out for the woman who he met all those years ago and finally be able to thank her for heroism.
That aside, he personally seeks to become stronger and test his skills as a shinigami to prove his worth for a seated position within the 2nd division.
[ GUARDIAN ANGEL ]
Zanpakutō Spirit: Alya takes the form of a young human woman. She's a diminutive person compared to Asadi himself but has a large presence despite this. This spirit is the yin to Asadi's yang - while the man has a goofy attitude to most things, Alya is the polar opposite, keeping him in check and focused when she deems fit. With this, she's able to push him beyond what he would normally be able to accomplish, knowing that he could achieve greatness if she guides him in the right direction. Even though Alya comes off as angry spirit, she has a kindness to her that only he seems to understand. They've both come to an understanding that they need one another, bringing balance to each other's chaotic worlds.
Inner World: Up the mountain, high above the clouds upon a plateau stands an ancient fortress with ivy-covered walls. Within the fortress, lies abandoned training grounds that appeared to once been the hub of this world. It was as if this place was left to ruin at the height of its glory. Winds sweep the area, pushing back against old oak trees and weeping willows that adorn the plateau as gently water rolls down small streams coming together at the edge of the land, cascading down on the world below. The higher you climbed, the stronger the wind seemed to place, stinging the skin as you went. This place, a world of its own - an 'island' in the sky. Beyond the land, in the skies above, the universe seemed to call out to the land below, showing all its splendor as stars and cosmic energy lit the skies above with the stars. A mirror image of the Earth seemed to loom above as if it were the moon to this world.
Power: the power to manipulate air and its wind currents and use them for both offensive and defensive purposes.
Zanpakutō: Asadi's Zanpakutō takes the form of a standard katana, more of a Daito-like weapon, being over 3 feet long with a star-shaped guard, of which has a circular piece going around the tips of the star's arms. The handle is dull and dark purple in color.
[ LEGACY CREATED ]
Origin: An Arabic descendant, his family came to the United States in the 1940's. His mother and father enjoyed the semi-peaceful life that came with residing in New York. Once they settled down and started to enjoy their new life, they decided to start a family. Born in early in February of 1947, Asadi grew up with a normal childhood. While his family was neither poor nor rich, he got to enjoy the little things that made him happy such a playing pirates with his friends and going on adventures in the nearby woods surrounded his hometown. Rising racial tensions forced the young man's family to finally move against his wishes. While traveling from the state, the family took the interstate. upon the long journey to their new home, a semi-truck fell asleep behind the wheel. Drifting from the passing, the vehicle struck Asadi's family car, sending them from the road and into the ditch, resulting in the car flipping multiple times. The impact to the ditch and the resulting crash ejected young Asadi from the car, killing him instantly.
Rise to Power: Death didn't come easy for the young boy. His mother and father survived the crash, leaving Asadi all alone in a place unfamiliar to him. Try as he might, he couldn't leave the area of the crash. Fear plagued him as he tried to the escape, to go back home where there was some sort of familiarity that he could cling to. It was during all of this turmoil a hollow found him and tormented the small soul for several hours, feeding upon his fears. Thankfully as the beast was about to set upon him, a female shinigami intervened, cutting down the foul creature in one violent cut, ending its life. Needless to say, the boy was amazed by this. It was as if a superhero from his comic books had come in and saved the day. As he tried to thank her, she shushed him, telling him to thank him on the other side. Before he could utter a word, she pressed the hilt of her sword to his forehead, releasing him to the other side.
Once on the lad woke up, he found himself in the 1st district of the Rukongai. Vague memories plagued him but the boy carried on, even being adopted by one of the patchwork families that seemed to form the afterlife. Time seemed to slip by, the boy began to grow, but his childish antics seemed to remain. Asadi was always causing trouble through his boyish pranks and jokes. The only thing that did keep him from doing it so often was his 'parents' pushing him into training for the Academy. The Academy took notice after the years went on and accepted him. There, he trained for six long years, facing the challenges as they came until he managed to get a passing grade and was accepted as a member of the Gotei.
Call to Action: Finally graduating, Asadi was accepted into the 2nd division. While excited, he didn't exactly take his duties seriously during his first few months in. This resulted in him being disciplined and nearly expelled from the unit. This sidelined him much to his disdain. Using this time for himself, the man refocused his efforts to become better. The resulting training resulted in him awakening his blade, letting him come into contact with its spirit for the first time. While overtly thrilled, he first meeting with Aly wasn't exactly the best. The woman chastised him for being lazy, selfish and childish, demanding more out of him. With her at his back, Asadi took on the role as a true shinigami - just with his added goofiness. Now, he sets out to prove his worth and show his division what he's really made of.
