Yuuta started stripping, and his eyes examined the shirt as it was removed- briefly glancing at the wounds before he instead would lower his hands to pick the shirt up- eyes trailing slowly over the holes. He'd learned how to do this purely out of necessity, his father didn't offer him any clothing- so anything he had he'd stolen, or dug out of the trash, and then fixed up as best he could. On the bright side, it did mean he had an extra skill that came in handy, especially when it came to stitching up wounds that he may take when his father was feeling especially violent that day. Turning the shirt inside out, and examining the tears quietly- none of them looked like they needed extra fabric. Simple tears that just needed a bit of thread to reattach and they would be fine once more.
Slowly he raised his gaze once he commented about his shorts, and his head tilted slightly, "I should fix those too," he commented, though he didn't intend to argue- he felt like it would be more trouble than it was worth to press his point on that matter. For some reason people, especially his age, seemed to be incredibly uncertain when it came to revealing too much skin- he didn't really understand it, but it was something he had grown to realize from listening and watching others. Instead, he would jump a bit as Yuuta suddenly sprung to his feet- is instincts automatically assuming harm was coming to him, but thankfully it was disbanded as Yuuta simply raised a hand and told him to wait for a moment as he went to gather the needle and thread- slowly allowing his body to relax once more.
Easier said than done, but he managed it as he simply sat in silence and waited- his senses keeping track of all the presences around him as he waited, wary of anything that was near- but especially anything with a bit more energy than most. He felt Yuuta's presence run up the stairs and kept a metaphorical eye on him as he ran about- before he quickly slid back down to him. Placing the items down for him to use as he slowly examined the needles and threading, making a mental note that it was everything he needed- and therefore had no reason to say anything as he instead would begin carefully grasping the needle- raising it in his crooked fingers and simply begin to thread it. However, briefly, his eyes would move toward Yuuta as the boy commented on threading the needle for him- causing his eyes to blink once, slowly.
After a moment, he looked back at the needle he was threading and stated simply- "So you were asking me to do something you could easily do on your own in payment?" after all, Yuuta's initial request had been to "thread a needle" for him. The boy's altruism truly had no bounds, he wanted to give him such an easy task in the first place- but the fact that he could clearly do it on his own without any trouble made it, even more, headache inducing. He wasn't sure what to think of the boy, he was an oddity, to say the least- and coming from him, he knew all too well that was saying something. Still, he kept further comments to himself, his fingers (after a failed attempt or two due to the crooked fingers) threading the needle.
Once the initial stitch was done, the rest was easy for him- carefully stitching the clothing back together neatly, though he didn't appear to take any pleasure or enjoyment out of the work. His face remaining blank as the needle dove in and out of the fabric, stitching the holes shut steadily- only double stitching the high friction area's that needed it before he carefully tucked the thread, knotted it, and then simply turned the shirt right side out and offered it to Yuuta. He could tell him he was done, but he saw no need to state the obvious, instead, sitting back quietly once the shirt was taken- his gaze trailing toward the door once more, before he felt the stirring of a slightly stronger presence.
Instantly his body tightened, and he could feel the differential- it was female, and closing in on the home rapidly. His instincts instantly screamed at him, telling him to run, move, leave- but the logical side of his mind whispered that more than likely it was Yuuta's mother as the boy had stated previously. His eyes flicked toward Yuuta as he opened his mouth, about to warn him that he needed to go, that they were possibly under attack when the door opened. Instantly, Mako froze like a deer in headlights- not even turning to examine the new threat that was entering the home- instead, his eyes focused on Yuuta, deciding he would base his fight, flee, or cower reaction on how Yuuta himself reacted first.
