What's good, Bleach Gotei! Breezey back again, once again, and this time here's some substance. Applications are going to be redone entirely, as per below. (Subject to minor word changes for clarification, but the core ideas will remain for the foreseeable future)
The Application Process Introduction [edited out to avoid confusion] ... Once your application is finished, a member of staff will come along and check your application for any errors, inconsistencies, and help you with your power, if necessary. After your application is up to our standards, you'll be approved for 1,500 Base GP to start, which you can spend however you like on your stats and skills. After you have distributed your starting GP, you're free to start roleplaying with the community!
Once you've finished at least one thread, you're free to submit your application to the request board for a full grade. This grade will allow you to get an additional 1,500 earned GP depending on how well you have written your application. All applications are graded on a checklist of core ideas and concepts that all applications should have. These ideas and concepts set the foundation for a good character to progress within our system and helps give the users and idea of some of the things we look for in Milestones and Masteries. When submitting your application for a grade, be sure to check off as many of the Grading Rubric items items as possible, as it will help maximize your score. You only get one attempt at a grade!
Also if I may ask, why does one need to do a thread before they get a shot at extra starting gp? Also would a solo thread constitute?
That first handful of threads can change a lot. It solidifies ideas as a writer that you only had floating around as concepts in your head and a lot can change very quickly. Given you cannot ask for grades until you get it perfect, having a good basis for understanding your character is important.
If I introduced you to a new game using equipment you had never tested and expected you to do well, that would be unfair. We are forcing you to 'practice' before grading so no one wastes their time or squanders their opportunity.
Seireitei is crumbling and the Gotei is a shell of its former self. Ravaged by the plague, the surviving Shinigami struggle to maintain the balance, but with so few of them left, the work is taxing and their fortress-city has fallen to neglect. Spread thin across all fronts, their diminished presence has been noted by friend and foe alike.
The Arrancar have rebuilt Las Noches and are rallying. The throne remains empty, but self-styled Espada have risen up from among them and are vying for control, each one endlessly testing the others’ weaknesses. Too evenly matched for any one of them to claim the crown, they bide their time, waiting for the opportune moment.
On Earth, all seems well—but there is a war being fought in the shadows as the mortals find themselves lacking the protection they once had and so sorely need. The Quincy, having realized the oppressive specter of the Shinigami is no more, are flourishing, and are fighting the Hollow-breeds with renewed vigor.
