Hello, friends and family of Bleach Gotei!
With all the sappy words at my control, we come to you with open hearts and warm memories in celebration of Christmas. Certainly, while not all of us celebrate this specific holiday (or any of the others also going on during this month) we do hope you spend some time with loved ones, appreciating the closeness and sense of togetherness that this time of year does its best to encourage. From myself, and all of my staff, we wish you safe travels, tasty food, and good company during this holiday season.
We look forward to the good times to come as we close out 2016 and prepare to launch into 2017!
It takes the support and good will of every member in order to make this site and this community work and prosper so well. Sincerely, thank you. From the simplest acts of excitement, such as getting hyped up with a new member as they explore character ideas, or the most convoluted character secrets that you reveal in 20,000-word thread with your long-time thread partner, each and every one of you helps to make this site an amazing home for creative writing.
I hope you'll also join me in thanking the player of Victoria, for his most generous offer to take care of BG's hosting bill for the month of December! We are truly lucky to have such long-standing and involved members in our community, such as Vic, and BG wouldn't be the same place without him and people like him.
So, with that out of the way...
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all the volunteers of BG Staff!
Seireitei is crumbling and the Gotei is a shell of its former self. Ravaged by the plague, the surviving Shinigami struggle to maintain the balance, but with so few of them left, the work is taxing and their fortress-city has fallen to neglect. Spread thin across all fronts, their diminished presence has been noted by friend and foe alike.
The Arrancar have rebuilt Las Noches and are rallying. The throne remains empty, but self-styled Espada have risen up from among them and are vying for control, each one endlessly testing the others’ weaknesses. Too evenly matched for any one of them to claim the crown, they bide their time, waiting for the opportune moment.
On Earth, all seems well—but there is a war being fought in the shadows as the mortals find themselves lacking the protection they once had and so sorely need. The Quincy, having realized the oppressive specter of the Shinigami is no more, are flourishing, and are fighting the Hollow-breeds with renewed vigor.
