Now maybe I'm absolutely retarded (read: probably am), but has anyone thought about this:
We have the Mastery Index, which collects easily obtainable information about characters into a single place. It exists to make it easier to find other characters to connect with if you want their help in pursuing a Mastery.
It just makes sense, right?
But there's more important information about characters that isn't stored in an easy list in each character sheet: What the character's beliefs, motivations, and current actions are. These things form the foundation of any inter-character conflict, the thing that is the literal lifeblood of Bleach Gotei.
For instance, a new player has no quick and resource to view to learn that Shun Minamoto despises half-breeds because of how unreasonably dangerous they are and is currently working to purge all infected Shinigami from the Seireitei.
For any Vaizard-hopeful new player, this is extremely relevant and useful information. The same goes for every other character on Bleach Gotei. Where our characters believe, what they're doing, and how they can serve as a "hero" or "villain" to support and resist other player-characters should be as easily obtainable as the list of skill masters.
At least, this is how I feel. Is there any agreement here or have I stumbled onto a dud of an idea?

The original character glossary was just a collection of links, and that can absolutely play into this. My thought would be just that.
Name | Application | Latest Metagame Snippet about beliefs, motivations, and actions.
Organize it by race, because races are factions in the Bleach world, more or less.
So I mean if you want an example....
Shun Minamoto | Application | Latest Metagame Shun Minamoto -- currently away from the Seireitei for his Stranded event, linked in Metagame -- is a high-ranking Shinigami who despises the half-breeds known as Vaizards. He finds that they're needless dangerous to the people around them due to the Hollow they harbor in their souls and seeks to have them eradicated from the Seireitei entirely.
A few links, a couple sentences, and now someone can make a more informed decision on whether or not they want to look into Shun any further. The answer should, of course, be a resounding no; but there are weirdos out there who write with him.

If it were something easy to summarize and sort, I could include it in my data and finally clean it and make it open for viewing, but the way Shun has presented it makes me think this would need to have much more information in it than a spreadsheet could easily handle.
Some sort of quick "who the fuck are these people" would really be good, though.
Edit: Upon further consideration, this might actuality work with the database if we limited it to a one sentence blurb. What would people think of that?
Murat Bey, one sentence seems really good because it forces the player to condense the extremely important info they might want to share.
Also, sorry, site history moment, but didn't we sort of have a character encyclopedia for a while on BG where you gave a tiny snippet about who your character was so players could reference? Is this aimed more at motivations than actual character details?
Seireitei is crumbling and the Gotei is a shell of its former self. Ravaged by the plague, the surviving Shinigami struggle to maintain the balance, but with so few of them left, the work is taxing and their fortress-city has fallen to neglect. Spread thin across all fronts, their diminished presence has been noted by friend and foe alike.
The Arrancar have rebuilt Las Noches and are rallying. The throne remains empty, but self-styled Espada have risen up from among them and are vying for control, each one endlessly testing the others’ weaknesses. Too evenly matched for any one of them to claim the crown, they bide their time, waiting for the opportune moment.
On Earth, all seems well—but there is a war being fought in the shadows as the mortals find themselves lacking the protection they once had and so sorely need. The Quincy, having realized the oppressive specter of the Shinigami is no more, are flourishing, and are fighting the Hollow-breeds with renewed vigor.
