I didn't know I could App for Hado as my Custom Skill Slot. Since my character's been inventing and tinkering IC in making a Kido Gun (And soon Kido incendiaries). It makes sense that she fill that slot with Hado.

Shunko: Onikage (The Demon's Shadow):
This Shunko named Onikage ((The) Demon's Shadow) merges fighting spirit, reiryoku, and the body. Internalizing the force and higher levels can infuse that spiritual force upon their weapons and project their attacks with explosive fury similar to a Ryōdan or Raiōken at Master, GM has greater range and projected force.
Functionally this is the exact same as normal Shunko with added psychological and Character Development McGuffin elements.
From Beginner to Novice. All this does is fill one psychologically with violent impulses and nature each time it is activated for an attack. Driving them into a state of blood lust, battle hunger, or other violent tendencies. But since this stage uses internal Reiryoku other than needing to focus to activate it, shows no outward appearance other than the violence it elicits.
At Journeyman: One's Shunko takes a malevolent or violent aura. It's here the player starts choosing Path of Controlor The Demon's Path. (No change to end effect. Just a CD mcguffin.). Control allows one to wield the Shunko appropriately. Demon drives one to acts of extreme violence regardless to the dangers to their minds or bodies.
Staying in this form, deals tiny amounts of damage each post used and for each attack the damage increases. If not done with control and constraint.
At Master: A practitioner's reiryoku, fighting spirit, and fine turning the compaction and refinement of that path. At this stage one has either embraced their Fighting Spirit and Inner Demons and has learned to wield them. Wielding this Shunko like a weapon, they've become consumed by the addictive violent rush, or are struggling on their path. The spiritual energy they fuse with their bodies, cloaks their spirit around them, darkening the skin, the muscles bulge from the force within them, and a red aura seeps from the skin [Full Demon, or Demon's Shadow]
All users of Onikage have the same Shunko Cloak appearance that gives the Shunko it's name. And the force of the technique slowly post, by post, puts even greater strain on the body.
They are either manifestations of their inner darkness, attacking without restraint, or care. Only striving to sate their own destructive needs; Have learned to control their darker emotions, wielding their Shunko, rather than the Shunko wielding them. Or very rarely are struggling on their path flowing from one to the other as the seek or lose themselves (but very few haven't chosen at this stage.)
At this stage one can hold onto the Shunko Indefinitely and without ill effects like they could at Expert and Master.
*: Appearance is just an example. Skin, glow and aura from the Shunko field (Aesthetic) is dependant of the individual user of this Shunko.
(Note. This is just appearance of Shunko, psychological paths a practitioner of Onikage takes, and damage of Expert and Mastery.).
Shunko: Onikage (Demon's Shadow): Onikage is a spirtual art that merges the philosophy that the body is a weapon and all weapons are extensions of the body. If the body cannot cut, then all tools are useless. Using ambient and internal reiryoku the practitioner refines their Killing Intent, and uses the body to project that will to cut down and destroy obstacles in their path. This takes the ability to gather, and shape reiryoku to externalize one's will, and Hakuda (and at later levels Weapon Proficiency) to project their reiryoku through their attacks.
Unlike normal Shunko which starts with ambient reiryoku and moves inward. This Shunko starts with whats inside the user, merging and gathering their dark and destructive emotions (bloodlust, anger, hate, fear, survival instincts, violence, one's inner demons.) and merges that with ones reiryoku into a coherent, destructive force for the body to manifest upon the world. With higher levels drawing in, condensing, and refining external reiryoku to strengthen that "will to cut" / "destructive will."
(Use of this Shunko requires Beginner Hohō (to know how to expel reiryoku to walk on air), a Novice Spell Casting (to form and manipulate ambient and expelled reiryoku), and at least novice Hakuda. The higher the rank of those skills the better.)
Universally at all ranks one attacks with one's Spirit Stat, and can mold reiryoku to various weapons and forms similar to molding reiryoku to form weapons from spell crafting skills. (uses one's skill in Spell Casting and Shunpo on how accurate they shape things). (The effects, and use of this is pre-set and nearly universal among anyone who practices this form of Shunko.).
At Beginner the practitioner is able to form their Blade (a Shunko version of Shitonegaeshi, is unable to do damage, but the weapon molded is a psychological reflection of their Will to Cut.), and project their internal reiryoku through attacks. Although the range is only a few inches (Reaching Attack).
At Novice the practitioner is able to project their attacks at range. It travels at the speed of what speed they attacked at, but doesn't loose speed as it travels.
At Journeyman the practitioner is now able to link their 'Destructive Will' to a physical weapon and infuse it with destructive reiryoku. Allowing it to project an attack similar to Ryōdan. Weapons formed now are weaker than normal weapons linked with one's will to kill. At this level one starts picking whether they give into a weapons destructive will, and give into the violence. Or if they wield it instead, and control the destructive power it generates *.
At this level one starts drawing in small amounts of reiryoku. Refining and condensing it within them. Allowing for their Shunko to more accurately meld their will to their attacks.
At Expert one forms what is called Partial Demon as one draws in greater amounts of reiryoku while using the Shunko. The merger reddens the skin, and makes the body feel like its burning up as the reiryoku violently fills and condenses within the body as it feeds one's destructive will and externalizes it as a malevolent aura reflecting one's "inner demons" in the form of palpable Killing Intent. Without physical training and preparation, this level of Shunko is damaging to the body making the body's tendons and joints ache violently, and a feeling of a massive headache each post as the thread progresses.
The attacks at this level explode on impact for distance equal to a grenade. Or can ignite the air with it's speed when in this form.
When not using Partial Demon, one's attacks hit with ranged power equal to Onibi (spirit Vs spirt to see pierce effect).
At Master the practitioner has fully embraced one's Inner Demons, and has learned to draw in massive amounts of reiryoku able to reach Full Demon. At this level one's body takes on an appearance reflecting their inner demons (aesthetic only. In that one looks evil, and demonic). Fully living up to it's name of Demon's Shadow. At this level one is capable of releasing their destructive will in an explosive force equivalent to Raiōken. Due to the raw volume of reiryoku taken in. Each thread gradually damages the body. Tearing at the muscles and putting tremendous strain on the joints and tendons in the body. If the user isn't in control or careful it can do irreparable damage to them.
At this level one can create "Attack Spells" to teach Journeyman and higher practitioners. Weapons formed now are as powerful as their physical counterparts.
Molding the reiryoku and killing intent within them to forming a type of Full Contact Spellcasting. Where one's able to mold their destructive will with the reiryoku they are drawing in, and cast it with greater power than lower ranks. (comparable to Novice racial attack spells, but simpler and weaker). Rather than simple 'ranged attacks.' When not in Full Demon form. They are only able to make and cast Full Contact Spells. And Expert level attacks.
If one lets their Inner Demons control them. They become violent, blood hungry people who will attack those near them, and will use the skill without worry to the damage it's doing to the body. If they control themselves, and wield their demons than their demons them. They are able to control it's destructive forces without needless destruction or worrying about harming those they care about. A form of catharsis and understanding of self.
[Full Demon Form example.]
At Grand Master depends on the path one took. Regardless they gain the form of Demon King / Queen where they draw in even greater amounts of reiryoku. Constantly replenishing the technique allowing them to look like a living Avatar of Intent (aesthetic only) as the reiryoku that enters them becomes super condensed, refined, and merged perfectly with their Intent. Which lasts as long as they wish, since they've trained and learned to harness the influx without letting it destroy them.
The concussive force is able to level a small city, and their is almost no limit to their destructive power of their attacks. And their Attack Spells are comparable to Expert of their racial spell casting). At this level one literally is a manifestation of their "Will to Cut" / "Destructive Will" making them effectively walking weapons.
If they took and survived the Demon path, everyone around them can see them for the monsters they are as their intent is clear for all to feel (psychological). If they took the controlled path. They look radiate a lethal intent but it's forged, controlled, and with steel like clarity. Rather than bestial and unfocused. (The Form is the form their Shunko cloak takes as it warps the body from within (as long as in use.)
Example of the Demon Path. [Basically the Shunko Cloak makes them look as evil as the demons they let control them]. Example of the Control Path.. [The aesthetic form here gives a sense of power, righteousness, and control.] (in both forms as Demon King / Queen. The Shunko Cloak doesn't grant anything other than a manifestation of one's mindset, intent, and path they take. In Kido visual form.).
[Asked, and it fits what I was told and told not to do. Heard no complaints when I sent the link and if I need to fix Mastery and GM. I can edit it later.]
