Hazy ashen orbs rested on the organic horizon, peering ahead softly as they took in the environment of Karakura. It was going to rain soon, the salty smell filling her nose and the pressure of the air weighed heavily on her joints. Dark gray clouds built up just above the tree's, and the first bolt of light could be seen in the distance, followed with a crack of thunder that echoed off the mountains she rested between. There was no sounds of birds chirping or wind whistling, it was just calm and peaceful, much like the phrase, ' The Calm before the Storm.' It certainly was going to storm, the way the clouds barreled over another indicated that it would be a rough one.
Shizuka did not mind however, she sat atop a wooden perch, crossing her ankles over one another and resting gently on the smooth terrain. Charcoal tresses fell from her crown, over her shoulders and curled at the nape of her perfectly arched back. Even though she was lounging atop a bench, she still sat with her habitual elegant posture which was more of a form of practice rather than a forced position.
It was such a wonderful night to be in the World of the Living, and what a better time than her first experience! She was issued her orders just this morning, stationing her for active duty within Karakura town. While she was a Shinigami, she was not issued to perform Konso so much as take records of her time within the Living World. That included, time in her Gigai. She held a jovial expression on her petite face as she laid her hands out in her lap, her fingertips caressed the inner palm of her hand and she felt the texture of her prosthetic body.
In this form she wore a soft pastel colored dress that hung off of her shoulders to form tight around her waist. The hemline fell just past her knees and flared out from her hips in an elegant fashion. It was certainly different from what she normally dressed in, but she experimented in many modern garments this morning before deciding on the current dress matched with flat slipper like shoes. Because of the somewhat chilly temperature of the night she had an white over jacket that too was form fitting. It was a good thing she had a jacket too, as she was correct to expect the rain.
The rain came in a soft drizzle, falling atop of the pale woman, causing goosebumps to crawl over her skin. The sudden cool air set her on edge, though it did not bother her in terms of temperature wise. It was hard to feel cold in the body that could only be described as 'false'. It was also hard to notice the cold when her eyes stared at the brilliant lights that lit up the local park. Pinks, Blues, Oranges... colors of the spectrum shined brilliantly as people lit their decorative lanterns in regards to what was known as Hanami, The Cherry Blossom Festival.
Shizuka could only be described as awestruck as her wide eyes stared at the World she could not identify. The World of the Living was certainly not Seireitei, and offered so much more compared to the harsh reality of being a Shinigami. The woman felt an odd sense of comfort in being able to experience Earth like a real person, and take part in their historical events.
How did she know so much about the Hanami already?
With a provided pamphlet of course!
So here she was, diligently enjoying the provided reading material and homemade fried dumplings which were nothing she ever had before.
"Maybe you should be on your guard. I understand it is your time away... but you are always in danger. Remember that young one."
Shizuka hesitated in her next bite of food, staring blankly into the page as the nagging voice plagued her mind. She knew Shiro was right, though she did not want to admit it. She did however listen to her Zanpakuto Spirit and placed the parchment down on the wooden seat next to her own body. In her terms, she wanted to feel normal for a small while, but was normal at this moment. She had lived for nearly 3 centuries in Soul Society, meeting a vast arrangement of Shinigami. None of them were like a Human. It was very much so true that she was sent to the World of the Living on active from her Division, but she did not have to be afraid. She was not the only stationed Shinigami here. There were others that hung in the dark, but they were not invisible to her eyes unlike the humans that celebrated nearby.
Standing from her rest she smiled at the people who waved at her to join them under the protective tent that shielded them from the rain. This was a time of joy and happiness for all in Karakura so why could she not enjoy it as well? Succumbing to the urge of the humans she aimed to join them, but there was a sudden pressure on her mind. She did not recognize it, or sense that it was a Hollow, but it felt odd to her as it did not resemble any Shinigami that she had felt previously.
She craned her head to the side, her eyes scanning the distance for the noted presence. Shizuka seemed to forget what she was doing previously, dismissing herself from the parade of festivities. Her feet carried her away from the park, yet still within it's bounds, as she could still see lights of the lanterns that paved the way back. Shizuka's brows furrowed as she tried to pin the direction of the emitted presence, which proved to be of difficulty either on her part, or the fact that it was hard to sense through her Gigai. Pressing forward she would track down the owner of the oddly placed spiritual presence

Hanami, the Cherry Blossom Festival. It was a time to admire the trees, drink sake and admire the moon. A time to dress in yukata and kimonos while visiting different festival stalls with their assorted foods, games and fortunes. The air was cool, a slight chill that hinted at the rain that was to come, the only downside to the festivities. Still a little rain never hurt anyone, and did nothing to distract people from attending the festivities. Kokuou Munashii was in attendance of the festival as well, although he was not currently participating as one of the many visitors. Actually he was running a small little tent shop, out of the way of the main path, one that sold charms for good health and protection and even told fortunes. What the few customers who visited did not know however was that they did in fact work, The charms for good health did help prevent a person from getting sick, allowed them to recover a lttle faster then normal. The charms for protection did what they could to help avert accidents and prevent hollows from taking notice. The Art of Fortune telling on the other hand was less concrete in its accuracy and effects. The general consensus however was that they were highly accurate and popular among many people, whether or not they were looking to see how their luck, work or love life would turn out to be.
It was peaceful to sit underneath the tent flap and listen to the rain gently tap on the canvas above him, while he was able to leisurely drink sake and admire the view. Despite being out of the way of the main foot traffic, Kokuou had made sure to grab a nice location for his own personal enjoyment, even though if he truly wanted, he could have just stayed home and watched the cherry blossoms from the comfort of his own porch. Still he would not be able to enjoy watching all the pretty ladies walk past in their yukata under the paper lanterns if he had chosen to remain at home. While at the festival Kokuou did not restrain his spiritual awareness, or power, while he focused his attention more on sensing with his Onmyodo powers he constantly strives to improve his Reiatsu perception skills. So it was not much of a surprise when he sensed something, the faint wisps of someone with spiritual powers. While his Spiritual power could detect the person, he did not possess the ability to tell if they were just a awakened mortal, who gained spiritual powers, or a Shinigami or arrancar who possessed a gigai, at least not without a good deal of study or much closer examination with his onmyoji powers.
Keeping an eye out out for whoever it was that was spiritually aware, Kokuou eventually noticed a rather attractive young woman slowly making her way in his direction. She stood out among the crowd due to her bearing, as she carried herself with an elegance that almost hinted at nobility or at least a long history of practice, possibly from attending tea ceremonies and the like. Raven black hair fell in long black waves across her shoulders and down her back, with a few strands trailing over the top edge of her one peice dress, a soft pastel dress that hung off her shoulders and clung to her waist and flowed down to just past her knee. While the lady did not seem to notice, she certainly attracted the eye of several men at the festivities, much to the ire of some of their girlfriends.
Once the woman was in easy speaking distance kokuou stood up and bowed partially to her, casually asking "Are you Enjoying the Festivities Miss? See anything you like?"
It seemed X marked the spot as the woman found herself awkwardly staring into a small outdoor shop. It was decorated with the common paper lanterns and printed paper that seemed to build every festival stand that was set up among the crowds that gathered. In her mind she doubted her sense of direction to the point she was looking behind the stand for any unusual movement. But instead... Here stood a young man that appeared to be tending to the trinkets that laid before her. This was the person that emitted the spiritual presence, and even though her sense was weak in her Gigai, she could still feel the distinct pattern it put off.
The man's physicalities could not be compared to the pressure his body emitted, which caused Shizuka to be rather confused as he spoke to her. It was not that he appeared normal, because the definition of normal is biased, it was the fact that she did not know what to expect, and certainly not an attractive young man. His voice was like silk as they echoed in her ears, distracting her from the nagging pressure that weighed on her mind, and causing her to feel embarrassed as she caught herself staring. To reprimand the situation she glanced down to make it seem like she was interested in what his stand had to offer.
Shizuka oogled over the trinkets he set up in his stand, minding the different set ups and she had found some familiar feeling in the shapes and words that created the spiritual oddities. It was unfortunate that she had not remembered what they were and found herself asking him of their origin.
"Excuse me sir, but what are these ornaments?"
Her voice was fair and calm, and could be described in a sense, very feminine. It lacked depth, but was not high pitched like most young women. The tone of her voice and pronunciation would indicate wisdom and years in stark contrast to her young appearance.
"If he is omitting a spiritual presence that means for certain that he can sense your's as well... Maybe even identify it.... You can not stay here...."
"I could have been mistaken. He is obviously not a Soul or a Hollow...."
She knew of unique humans that were called 'Spiritually Awakened,' and could produce a spiritual presence and use manifested powers to defeat Hollows. There was not reason that this man could not be one of those said humans... "Or an Arrancar in a Gigai..."
Her eyes flashed to the young man, watching for an indication that he meant harm to herself, humans, or souls. While he did not produce any alarming movements, she was prepared in her mind for the inevitable. It could come to a fight, and if that happened she would urge to lead him away from the humans that celebrated below. She did not wish for confrontation however, and aimed not to misconstrue the situation.
Shizuka's curiosity would get the better of her as she probed at the man, "Are you enjoying the Festival sir?"

The Woman in front of Kokuou's eyes appeared hesitant at first, as she looked around at the different stalls. As if she were expecting to find what she was searching for beyond his location, yet the only thing that lay beyond him were more cherry blossom trees and the path to the local shrine of Inari. He watched as her eyes finally came to rest on and study him. Like nearly all of the people running stalls or booths at the festival, Kokuou was wearing a kimono, one which at first appeared to be a simple and unadorned deep blue silk, however on closer examination one would be able to find that it had a mark embroidered on it, a pentagram. The pentagram was a mark often associated with magic, in the west it was associated with black magic, or sometimes protection yet for Kokuou it had a different meaning. The pentagram was known as the Seiman, The Seal of Abe no Seimei. Not only was it representative of the Five elements on Onmyodo, but was also the Clan Mon of Kokuou, for Abe no Seimei was a distant Ancestor, and as a direct blood descendant was one of the reasons why he possessed such strong onmyoji powers. However most people would only associate that with fortune telling, entirely unaware of the deeper meaning of the symbol.
Kokuou could not help but be somewhat amused as to her reactions, She did her best to try and observe him subtly, by looking at the assortment of trinkets and talismans that lined his stand. It was clear that she could feel the energy that each emitted as she tried to piece out the meaning hidden behind each of them. Finally she seemed to be unable to contain her curiosity and ask him what the talismans were.
Glancing at the talisman in question, Kokuou chuckled lightly before saying "Well, those talismans in particular are designed to... Attract Romance to the wearer." He said with barely contained humor. "However we have many other types of charms. Over here we have protective talismans. and to the left we have charms that are designed to bring you luck." He said pointing to each of the talismans in order as he spoke. "Of course if we do not have exactly what you are looking for I can see about making a custom talisman to fit your needs, or you could have your fortune read."
All while explaining this to her he was attentive, yet utterly relaxed. While she could be a Shinigami or an Arrancar, or a spiritualist with a particularly odd aura around her, as long as she was not causing a problem then he was perfectly fine with her presence. He had after all associated with all types of people, and gotten along with a majority of them. If a fight should occur then he had enough confidence that he could contain any fight without disturbing the festivities.
When asked if he was enjoying the festival he nodded. "Please, there is no need to call me Sir, feel free to call me Kokuou. And yes, i am enjoying it. A festival is always something all people should enjoy, especially given the troubles our town has had. Something to help distract people is important. Still it could be better, instead of selling talismans and the like to people i could be out there enjoying the fried foods, admiring the scenery and perhaps enjoying the company of a pretty lady. but i guess that two out of the three is not so bad." He decided to say with a grin, interested to see how she would react to such a comment. Since it was rather obvious that he was currently not eating anything.
Her eyes grew wide at the sudden notion and her cheeks felt a bit warm even in her Gigai. Per coincidence that she seemed curious about those particular talisman, at least, that is what she told herself at that time. Shizuka tucked her hair behind her ear gently and awe'd each trinket as he explained their properties. It was interesting to see their different uses and designs compared to ancient ornaments that granted boons to the wearer. While she had not used them herself, there was often small shops in the Rukongai that held spiritual properties. At least, that is what she was told, whether or not they worked was a different matter entirely. Thus caused to her become curious if his talismans and reading were authentic however and she could not help but inquire further. "You can predict fortunes?"
The idea of having her fortune read was especially interesting due to her being over 300 years old. That and it must be hard to predict the good future of someone who was technically dead. though if he managed to pull something out of a hat she would definitely assume he was spiritually aware. She had never met one, but she knew of a few of their capabilities, especially documented one's. She had heard of one in particular that acted as a Substitute Shinigami here in the World of the Living.
"Kokuou, that is a nice name."
At that moment she opted to give her surname, division and rank, but caught herself before the words left her lips. It was purely habitual practice that she spilled her entirety as a greeting, but this person would not know what she was saying, and if he did, she would have a reason to be highly suspicious. It was good that he continued to talk, covering up her near mistake.
With her cheeks feeling really warm she cleared her throat and looked away slightly. She was not sure how to answer the young man after such a deliberate notion. So instead, she just responded with her polite greeting.
"My name is Shizuka.... would you ummm like to go for some fried dumplings... they are very delicious."
Her tone changed slightly to show her nervousness around Kokuou. Not that he emitted any threat, but more of the fact that he seemed to bring out a side of her that she had not experienced yet. As a Shinigami, you are so focused on your work that you can not find time or the will to harmlessly flirt with the opposite sex, save for a few recruits that seem to have too much time. That being said, she had not been engaged as a preference for a few decades at least.
"So Karakura has experienced some troubles?" She inquired from his previous statement, "I am not from here so I am unaware." Sure it have have been a tool to relieve some of the spotlight, as she blushed at the man.

It was cute how two little words caused the woman before him to blush so easily, as her Grey eyes grew wide and seemed to flash from behind her long dark lashes as they went from the charm to him before averting her gaze. She did make that seem fairly natural as she tucked a stray strand of her silky black hair up behind her ear and turned her attention to the other charms and talismans as he explained their usage. Her gaze was focused on each one and he could see her slender fingers trace the the designs of each one as she appeared to try and work out how they actually worked. He was unsure of exactly how well she could read them, perhaps she could tell that at least one set of the protective charms could act as a powerful Bakudo barrier to protect the wearer from harm, even if only for one or two shots but perhaps not. He was still not entirely certain as to the origin of her spirituality, and only one group really focused on a method of magic that dealt with barriers, however there were always exceptions.
After she finished looking at the talismans and charms she turned to him and asked if he could really predict the fortunes. He could see the interest in her eyes as she considered the idea which caused him to smile. "To an extent at least. The future is not set in stone, it is more like a path or stream, endlessly branching off. Divining the future is a lot like taking a glimpse down each of those roads. It is usually highly accurate however."
Eventually she introduced herself as Shizuka, and even took it upon herself to invite him to go for some delicious fried dumplings which caused him to smile. "Shizuka is a lovely name. And Of course, it would be my pleasure." He told her as he made sure the stall was secured before moving over to her so they could walk to the dumpling stall. he was not worried about theft, once he left the stall would divert people's attention away from it, unless you had spiritual perceptions.
"oh, you are not aware?" Kokuou asked as they started to walk. "well not a lot of people like to talk about it, but it was on the news. A while back our small town was devastated by an attack, destroying a large amount of the population and turning a good chunk of the town into ruins" Kokuou told her, going over the 'official mortal approved' story of terrorists attacking the city for some reason. he did drop hints that that was not exactly the truth of the matter, but since he was not actually sure how in the know she was about the Hollow attack on Karakura, he did not go into full detail. another factor in that decision was that they were out in the open among non-spiritually aware people and did not want to be overheard.
"It would be interesting to hear what my future has in store."
Shizuka smiled gently as she waited for Kokuou to secure his things before taking a walk with her. She certainly did not expect him to comply so easily. In fact she expected him to say something along the lines of, 'I am sorry but I cannot leave my stand.' And with that she would take her leave, and secretly watch to make sure he wasn't an Arrancar or the like luring humans to their death. In fact, did Arrancar even bother humans? There was alot that she knew and did not know about the particular breeds of a Hollow, all she knew was that they were unbelievably dangerous.
Shizuka listened intently on his small story behind the 'troubles' that Karakura has faced. He told her something that seemed almost rehearsed. It left out details, and implied alot of possibilities related to Shinigami and Hollow. This made her feel uneasy, because she did not know if it was due to him trying to get a certain reaction from her, or if that was what he truly believed himself. There was also the option that he did not know what ailed the town either.
The woman scowled slightly and furrowed her brows, an action that could easily be linked to the disturbing news he left her with, but in truth she was frustrated at the secrecy behind this man. There were too many questions to be answered, and she should be on her guard, but Shizuka found herself actually enjoying their walk, and wanting to talk to him. It was like she couldn't feel any danger from him... But perhaps that was her gut telling her that he was not evil...
"That is terrible to hear... But this place is strong for being able to stand up in the ashes..."
They neared the crowd where she had sat earlier and Shizuka could smell the tempting foods. They didn't have delights like this is Seireitei or in the Rukongai. There were similar dishes, but the Modern World had different ways of preparing them that made her crave the fried foods. Like at this moment, when Shizuka eyed a vendor that served Dango. The whole vendor stand was impossible to walk by without noticing the amass amount of colors and lights they had put up to attract the attention of gleaming eyes. Reaching her hand out to make Kokuou aware, she may have brushed against his sleeve, or a small caress of his hand in an attempt to steer him in that general direction of the stand. They had a wide variety of the sweet and skewered dumplings that she could help but let her eyes wander over. Impossible to keep her away the curious woman found herself standing in front of the provider and pointing at each try, inquiring the difference in tastes and consistencies.
Finally she settled on the common tri-colored Dango, served with a sweetened honey like substance that only added to the flavor.
"Would you care for some? It will be my treat?"
It was only common courtesy to inquire if her accompaniment would like to partake in her joy as she smiled softly waving her bamboo stick as if to tempt him with the sticky rice-flour treats.

"Certainly. It is always interesting to apply my meager abilities with people who possess such Unique talents." Kokuou replied to Shizuka's interest in learning her future as he smiled slightly. It was amusing, the brief look of surprise that she had when he immediately accepted her proposal to go off with her, instead of managing the stall. However he was only doing this for fun, and to provide a little luck to other people. Not everyone bothered to come to the stall, and few chose to buy any of the trinkets that were there. One could even say that it was their fate whether or not they stumbled upon the stall and chose to buy something. Such protective charms only had a chance to help them after all so it was not something vital that he had to do. While he could have summoned up a Shikigami and placed it in command of the shop, having it assume the illusionary form of a person to do the selling, but to do so felt like a waste.
As he explained the 'troubles' Karakura had faced he was somewhat puzzled over her reaction. Was he being too obscure in his explanation of the events? Did she just not know the truth at all? Perhaps her spiritual powers were only just awakened, yet the events were plastered all over the news as a terrible event, so it was more likely that her spiritual nature was a lot more spirit then his own. Thus he suspected more then likely that She was either a Shinigami or Arrancar cloak in one of those weird artificial bodies that they apparently had.
"You are right, this place is strong, but it also helps that we have several strong individuals to help support it" he replied to her comment as they reached the food stalls. The air was ripe with the smells of food, you could hear the sizzle of foods frying, the clatter of cooking utensils on pots as they ladled out portions into bowls, all designed to make your mouth water with hunger at the thought of tasting the dishes. for those stalls that could not compete with smells they still were able to attract people's attention with bright lights and colors that drew the eye. One such stall seemed to call out to the lovely lady beside him, one of the Dango stalls. It was hard to miss the attention that she was giving that particular stall, it might have even made a lesser man jealous. Still Shizuka had a refined aura around her, which showed in the manner that she acted, she was not like some child who stared at and started to drool at the different sweets, she had the reserved nature of someone with countless years of refinement. This allowed his suspicions as to her true nature to narrow down, but by this time he had already decided that it simply was not something he was going to worry about.
when Shizuka came out of her food induced daze she reached over and tugged on his sleeve, trying to entice him as she waved a dango stick in her hand and invited him to have some as her treat. With a smile and a nod he replied. "Certainly i would not turn down a meal with such a lady, even if it was nothing more then Dango. But please allow me to pay for them." He said as he signaled the Stall owner to get two orders of the Hanami Dango that she had been eyeing, and also pointed and bought a pair of Onna Dango as well. Seeing as how she seemed to greatly enjoy the sweets so much, he chose a dango that was filled with a mixture of Anko and honey.
And to continue the flow of conversation kokuou asked her "If it was not too personal, what brings you to our city?"
words: 654 gp:13 total:47 ooc: i am really sorry for the delay in replying to you Shizuka, things were rather busy for a bit and hopefully will be not as chaotic as they were. i am aware your currently busy yourself so hopefully things improve for you as well.
She wasn't going to kid herself, this night was bizarre. Certain events she never contemplated unfolding occurred and individuals both impressed her and offended her in equal measure. In hindsight, she should have attended these kinds of social gatherings fare more often than she did. Luckily for her she was able to change that behavior. Shizuka wondered what else this night had in store for her. If what she had seen already was any implication, she was going to be well taken care of. It wasn't often that so many interesting persons came waltzing out of the wood-works. It was even less common for Shizuka to be impressed so many times in a single setting.
In the meantime; her eyes followed Kokuou’s actions as he ordered more treats for the two of them to share; pulling her attention away from the festival patrons that surrounded her in the setting. She was completely fascinated by it all, these figures that were on display before him. If not for the fact that she was here mostly for business, that being scouting for potential anomalies in the immediate area, she would let her libido take over and thoroughly enjoy the possible interactions. For now she remained partly bias towards her desire for fun.
Unsure of how to answer the generous man she let her eyes momentarily trail off, pursing her lips at the idea of having to lie to him. She never was a good liar.
“Oh my work brought me here!” she said in a sharp response while tucking her loose strands of ashen hair behind her ears. Slowly eating each sizable sweet she coo’d in between bites and glanced to the male, “You could say i’m an investigator of sorts,” she finished, closing her eyes and giving him a soft smile.
Shizuka sighed, tucking each of her rather petite hands into her pockets. Feeling the inner fabric brush against the tips of her fingers and allowing the sensation to calm her. She was a woman who happened to be completely in tune with her senses; it was a requirement given what her role in the division happened to be.
“Speaking of occupation; Is selling trinkets what you do for a living?” she asked, snickering at the idea of him having no ambition for further possibilities. “I mean to each their own, but I don’t see you selling stricken high school girls love charms everyday and all day.” She was sincere, despite the backhanded nature of her statement.

It was certainly enjoyable to enjoy the dango while sitting next to a beautiful woman and enjoying the cherry blossoms blooming, only one thing was really missing at this moment in time and he was able to quickly remedy that. Finishing the last bite on the Dago stick he held in his hand he slipped a hand up his sleeve, as if to pull out something in one of his pockets. Those with the spiritual awareness would be able to feel strange fluctuations occur, the feeling of something opening and then closing, and as he pulled his hand back out a jug, still covered in a layer of frost as if it had been stored away on the top of a mountain or someplace similar, as well as a pair of cups would appear in his hand. The sweet fragrance of a fairly strong yet exceptionally smooth cherry liquor would emit from the top of the small jug as he poured the pair of them a drink.
He nodded as she told him that she was here for work, acting as an investigator of sorts. He was not entirely sure if she was in fact telling the truth on that, given how sharply she responded and the slight hesitation and pursing of her lips before she answered. But was it really any of his business if she did not want to divulge to a near complete stranger her occupation?
“Oh it is not me that you are investigating is it? No? How unfortunate for me then.” He asked as a joke with a laugh before turning to the question that she had asked in turn. “No i could not make a good enough living off of these trinkets. This is just a hobby that i do every year if i have the time. Ii have a few businesses that i own as well as Work with similarly skilled people.. To make things a little bit safer. Sadly the recent events that happened in Karakura town have greatly affected my Organization So it is probably a good thing that i have multiple business interests.” Kokuou answered, trying not to sound like he was bragging about being rich or the head of a business or Organization. Nor was he attempting to hide his use of spiritual powers outside of preventing those around him from noticing.
Words: 393 Occ: No problem Shizu, i had forgotten how far back we were and what i could do back then, so my post is also fairly short.
The slight disturbance to her left caught the woman's immediate attention; focusing her gaze in her peripheral vision she was able to catch the movement of his hand disappearing into his sleeve as he aimed to retrieve something. Shizuka’s fingers tightened gingerly around the fabric of her dress, pulling the hem from her knees slightly as if she was ready to pounce any moment. Was it wrong to mistrust him? Was it wrong to feel the urgency of self-preservation?
Her eyes widen as he revealed a flask, along with two small cups, inviting the idea for a drink; and she felt rather silly for getting worked up.
‘Was that my imagination?’ she thought, relishing on the previous surge in energy, unable to identify what it was and if it was linked to this man.
Shaking her head to bring her back to reality, the woman responded to his offer with a genuine smile as she took the given cup. An enthralling scent of sweet cherry filled her senses, tempting her to inhale the fumes of the strong liquor once more before nodding in Kokuou’s direction in a gracious gesture.
Lifting the cup to her lips she let the cold liquid seep past her tongue and into her throat, letting the contents warm up inside her. The sensation was interesting being in a gigai; much heavier and more restricting movements compared to her century living in soul society. The effects of the alcohol could already be felt by the false body she clung onto, which was a surprising reaction considering she could go cup for cup when it came to sake. Shizuka smiled and set the glass down in her lap, holding the edges with her fingers and glanced at the container she was given, noting that it was now empty.
“A successful businessman eh? I’m sure you look real nice in work attire. Suit and tie?” she asked, her cheeks growing a bit red in the heat dispersion of her new body.

The lady shizuka did not turn down his offer of the liquor, and appeared to be thoroughly enjoying it. Joining her he lifted his glass, first inhaling the scent of cherries he then took a sip savoring the flavors as it smoothly slid down his throat. He had been storing this particular jug with a few others high up on the side of Mt. Fuji, secreted away in the frostline to chill naturally. It appeared to have been a success, any of the remaining bite of alcohol that would have remained normally was smoothed out thanks to the chill. It was a good product and made him tempted to try brewing some sake infused with spiritual energy at some later point. As they both drank, they continued to drink, share the dango and talk as they watched the crowds of people and the blossoms blooming. “Well, i do not always wear a tie but yes i do usually wear a suit. Still i have to admit meetings are boring and i would much prefer doing something more useful than that.” he answered with a shrug.
