This is actually on time, we're trying something a bit new, giving people more of a chance to nominate and compressing the time needed for voting (since that's the easy part anyhow). Voting still runs until the normal time-ish. So you'll get a week from today.
You'll find the reasons added in below the cut. If you approve of doing it this way, lemme know. If you don't give a shit, tell me that too.
Staff: Jian, Takua
Jian. I know, he's not officially staff, but he's doing a great job as an intern. Asking a bunch of questions, being involved in almost every major discussion, and really putting his best foot forward. If Tak (and other staff) think this isn't a fair nomination, then just shove it as a second Player OTM instead of staff.
Takua. Almost voted for Tokiyo again. You manage to get more done than most people give you credit for, including OTM. Getting me a review in like 48 hours time when I was worried about my prestige was extremely helpful, thoughtful and above and beyond what a normal staffer would do for someone.
Player: Mitsutaka, Dew, Kasumi, Ryou, Walkren, Hi-to, Jian, Tsubaki Ichiro, Melody Black
Mitsutaka. Holy shit he posted more than ten times last month. What sort of madness is this? Mitsutaka? Being active and pulling out some great things in his stories? Madness.
Dew - Okay, I haven't even met this person, but(!), I can't help but notice how he/she's always around. Cleaning up the mess other people make in certain threads or just helping people improve their applications (please don't look at mine, my soul's not ready). I don't know if this person's nice or mean or anything really, I just notice them all the time. Maybe he/she was rewarded before, maybe they weren't, I really don't know, but I think this person deserves an award.
Kasumi is an understated member of the site. She has a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of wonderful ideas, a great deal of flexibility, and has more than enough patience to deal with things not going according to plan, time being taken, and overall just is an asset to have on any roleplaying site over all. I'm sad to see her go, but I wish her well in life, and am always willing to play with any character she comes up with should she choose to return to BG proper.
Ryou - Because I can't nominate Kasumi again and he's caught every STD there is.
Hi-To. Seriously your writing is incredible and I regret not having looked into it sooner. Your OOC mannerisms are famously clever and fun and you are always there to talk too. Thank you for that. And thank you...
Tsubaki Ichiro - Because if someone doesn't nominate him, he'll probably cheat his way in (not really, though - you're nice cj).
Melody Black - She/he is so nice and fun to chat with in Chat area. ((She also helps me get into my chair and hides me from people in chat.))
Character: Knowledge, Souta, Shinpei, Munin, Hi-to, Shinkiro
Knowledge. Ugghh. But no really. Congrats on becoming a tranny. What's even better is he isn't doing the whole "Okay, I did it now I'm retiring" (like the other two in that trio) but instead he's actually going out and putting together threads for people.
Souta - his character is simply hilarious.
Shinpei - I really enjoy all of his threads.
Munin - I love everything about this character and the player needs to have more fun here. Go write with him he's great.
Hi-To. Ok again I didn't really see what your character was before these last couple of months but seeing what your capable of doing with this incredible blend of stoicism, devotion, loyalty and professionalism on top of how you managed to pick such a cool power that can really help drive such helpful and thoughtful threads...There's not much else I can say here.
Jian. What he did in Seal of Water still makes me giggle and every time I see him in a thread its a refreshing reminder of the kind of fun and down to earth but still super-charged character one can make as a variant. I'm glad to see he has so many deep connections with hollows and shinigami, too, instead of cloistering himself.
Shinkiro - Although I don't know his whole story, what I've read so far seems awesome.
Tokiyo. Ok you probably think I'm high. Tokiyo is one of our best players on the site and I'm using a little different rubric than most for this category and promise this isn't just to see him win every OTM at least once. Tokiyo has been seriously try to improve behind the scenes and while there isn't as much room for improvement as there is on our less experienced writers, I still see him pushing himself to new standards and trying new things and, frankly, that's really refreshing to see a veteran writer doing! Asking to be torn apart in a review in PMs takes balls. Using what people tell you in your posts and growing as a writer takes heart. And taking on so many diverse writers and stories and themes without compromising either your character, your story or your flexibility takes the kind of skill that I've seen sharpen over the years, albeit gradually, considerably more than I see from most writers of his caliber.
Thread: Lighting Up His World, It Takes Two, Absolution, Did It Hurt When You Fell From Heaven? Purpose
Lighting Up His World - I recently rejoined so I haven't read that many threads, to be honest, I only stumbled upon this gem by accident. Anyway, I read a couple of threads and ya'll are such amazing writers, it's incredible (and frightening). But, these two... I'm not trying to say that they're better than anyone else or anything, these two fit so well together it's scary.
It Takes Two. Because Ally plus Mitsu is win.
Saw it up a moment ago before it dissapeared and was reading it. So, if you don't mind, I'd like to throw Absolution back up here.
A really strong show of personality for two characters whom I knew little of.
Did it hurt when you fell from heaven? - The last post is hilarious.
Why: Read it. If you haven't read this, what are you doing? Read it. No really. That
