As a reminder, please only nominate a person or thread once. You can nominate more than one person or thread (so long as you don't go crazy with it) but there's no confirming a nomination or otherwise. Instead, use that nomination on someone else and get more diversity. Also, don't nominate someone if they just won that category last month.
Reason: Kasumi is an understated member of the site. She has a lot of enthusiasm, a lot of wonderful ideas, a great deal of flexibility, and has more than enough patience to deal with things not going according to plan, time being taken, and overall just is an asset to have on any roleplaying site over all. I'm sad to see her go, but I wish her well in life, and am always willing to play with any character she comes up with should she choose to return to BG proper.

I should say 'blah blah podcast' but really it's just that I enjoyed posting for him more than I've enjoyed anything in a really long time, and even though that was more the way my brain responded to that situation than anything he explicitly did, I'm nominating him anyway, because fuck it.
I love everything about this character and the player needs to have more fun here. Go write with him he's great.
Player OTM - Hi-To. Seriously your writing is incredible and I regret not having looked into it sooner. Your OOC mannerisms are famously clever and fun and you are always there to talk too. Thank you for that. And thank you...
Staff OTM - Takua. Almost voted for Tokiyo again. You manage to get more done than most people give you credit for, including OTM. Getting me a review in like 48 hours time when I was worried about my prestige was extremely helpful, thoughtful and above and beyond what a normal staffer would do for someone.
Character OTM - Hi-To. Ok again I didn't really see what your character was before these last couple of months but seeing what your capable of doing with this incredible blend of stoicism, devotion, loyalty and professionalism on top of how you managed to pick such a cool power that can really help drive such helpful and thoughtful threads...There's not much else I can say here.
Thank you Colin for making the Character OTM choice a little easier for me <3
Character OTM - Jian. What he did in Seal of Water still makes me giggle and every time I see him in a thread its a refreshing reminder of the kind of fun and down to earth but still super-charged character one can make as a variant. I'm glad to see he has so many deep connections with hollows and shinigami, too, instead of cloistering himself.
Player OTM - Kireon. Bringing about reform and changes can be difficult and standing up for what you believe in is admirable. The prestige-rubric issue has...always been an issue, really. And its good to see it always being scrutinized as its important.
Most Improved Player - Tokiyo. Ok you probably think I'm high. Tokiyo is one of our best players on the site and I'm using a little different rubric than most for this category and promise this isn't just to see him win every OTM at least once. Tokiyo has been seriously try to improve behind the scenes and while there isn't as much room for improvement as there is on our less experienced writers, I still see him pushing himself to new standards and trying new things and, frankly, that's really refreshing to see a veteran writer doing! Asking to be torn apart in a review in PMs takes balls. Using what people tell you in your posts and growing as a writer takes heart. And taking on so many diverse writers and stories and themes without compromising either your character, your story or your flexibility takes the kind of skill that I've seen sharpen over the years, albeit gradually, considerably more than I see from most writers of his caliber.
TLDR: Its a most-improved-player for being a high level player who is willing and looking for opportunities to improve above and beyond what I see from players at his level. Especially this last month.
Anyone can nominate. Here for an hour and someone was nice to you in chat and you want to thank them for it? Nominate away. Just read your first post you've ever read on an rp site and its some of the best writing you've ever read? <del>read better books</del> nominate away.
Your not hurting other nominees by providing competition. On the contrary your making the prize worthwhile.
Well to those of us without much ego the sense of accomplishment of winning any contest can be enough of an emotional crutch to help motivate us in a desperate attempt for community sanctioned acceptance and validation.
That makes OTM seem pretty unhealthy huh?
I kid of course. The real point of OTM is to show gratitude for other people in a medium that is public enough to spread but "official" enough to not seem like pandering.
Reason: She/he is so nice and fun to chat with in Chat area. ((She also helps me get into my chair and hides me from people in chat.))
P.S. I have not read any threads just yet or met characters so I won't comment on those. Also was not sure I could vote since I don't even have my first character approved but had to put my two cents in... ((Sorry if I was not supposed to.))
Thread: Purpose Why: Read it. If you haven't read this, what are you doing? Read it. No really. That lostlast post is gold. The thread is gold. Goddamnit Mitsutaka. You could have done so much for Amaya if you actually did that thread with me, but whatever. At least Takua got something insanely good.
Head of Public Safety Tsukimiya arrives in Hueco Mundo, intent on bringing justice to the criminals who have fled to the desert realm hoping to evade the long arm of the law. She finds what she is looking for in the throne room of Las Noches...
In an attempt to fill the vacuum left by the Queen and Primera's deaths, Segunda Espada Levi Grisha makes a play for the throne and gathers the Hollow-Breeds in order to stake his claim.
Meanwhile, a Shinigami assassin on an unsanctioned mission strikes at a hospital, aiming to rid the world of the Quincy queen's newborn children. Several Quincy rush to the queen's aid as Lieutenant Ogawa escalates the hostilites between mortals and Shinigami.
